Dear Miss Vera,
Thank you so much for your note on (Facebook)! I like that you put Facebook in parentheses like it’s a secret we share. It bonds us together in this mixed up world of random connections. I am interested in you too! I don’t know if you know this, but Facebook allows you to upload pictures directly to your profile. That way, we can find out more about each other without having to send emails to our private email addresses. You probably don’t upload pics because you are concerned about privacy. I get it, Vera, I get it. There are internet creepers out there!
Your suggestive note definitely piqued my interest. You alluded to taking our relationship to the next level. Where do you think we can move to from here? I agree that friends are important. I can tell that you are a special person (color isn’t important to me either!) who loves to express herself via email, but apart from that, I’m not sure that we have a lot in common. I am more circumspect about meeting people over the internet since I found out that some celebrities hire PR agents to run their personal twitter feeds. I don’t wanna be taken for a ride like that again!
I’m so happy you reached out to me and I am very curious as to the “something special” you have to tell me. Is it that you have been through the ringer and don’t want to be hurt again? Is it that you still believe in love despite world hunger and poverty? Is it that you cannot be destroyed because you co-exist on a million servers around the world with legitimate information and your destruction would also mean the destruction of our information systems?
I look forward to getting to know you better! Please don’t hurt me, Vera. I really can’t go through picking all new passwords again.
